We at GoFamz! want you to have a great time discovering and exploring new fitness activities on We also want you to have a safe and secure online experience. Our privacy policy describes how and what information we collect, information that we and others may be able to see, and some ways that our servers communicate with your web browser. Registration Information

When you register for a account, we request your name, email address, and birthdate.  This allows us to create a unique user account for you.  We request your birthdate to ensure you meet our minimum age for registration.

Other Information You Choose to Share

After registration, you may also choose to share additional information such as that contained in your account profile and preferences, and any status updates, photo or video uploads, comments, information you share through “liking” or “disliking,” and any groups or events you register for.  

Public Information

By default, when you create a account, your name, profile type, and profile picture are always publically available.  Additional information such as gender, address, telephone number, “About me,” and location map can be made publically available if the information is entered by you and if you have selected “Public” for this information in your privacy preferences.

You can edit your basic privacy settings by clicking on “Preferences & Privacy” under the “My Profile” tab.  Your privacy settings can be further customized by clicking on “Edit Profile” under the “My Profile” tab.  Each information field has a pulldown menu that will allow you to set privacy to Public, GoFamz Members, Friends Only, or Only You.

Posting to Your Status

When you post an update to your status, you may select who may see your status update.  The status update box contains a pulldown menu that will allow you to set privacy for your update.

How We Use Your Information uses the information we receive about you in connection with the services and features we provide.  This includes:

  • Suggesting activities and events in your area that you might be interested in
  • Enabling you to connect with activities, events, groups, clubs or businesses that you are interested in
  • As part of our efforts to keep your information safe and secure
  • For internal operations such as testing, troubleshooting, and development of enhanced features

GoFamz Groups & Events

When you join a group or event, the group or event administrator and other group or event members will only see information you have allowed them to see in your privacy settings.

Deletion of Account

You may permanently delete your account at any time by clicking on “Edit Profile” under the My Profile tab, and then clicking on “Delete Profile.”  Your account will be disabled immediately; however, it could take up to 30 days for you data to be completely removed from our servers, and up to 90 days to be deleted from all backup logs.

Availability of Your Information to Others does not sell or otherwise provide information to 3rd parties, other than that which is required by law.  However, other GoFamz users have access to your information based on the privacy settings you select.  It is possible that other GoFamz users, including groups, clubs, and businesses, could search for your profile and contact you depending on your privacy settings.

Protection of Children

The protection, privacy, and safety of children is vitally important to us.  While all of the content on is intended to be “family friendly,” we have safeguards in place to help prevent children from creating GoFamz profiles.  However, these safeguards are only as good as the information provided to us.  Therefore, we urge parents to closely monitor their child’s online activity.


To enhance your experience on, some of our web pages use "cookies." Cookies are small pieces of information stored in files within your computer's browser. Web sites can only access the cookies that they have stored on your computer.  Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your personal information unless you choose to provide this information to us by, for example, registering at Once you choose to provide a web page with personal information, this information may be linked to the data stored in the cookie.
